About Aeraltus
Aeraltus is an aviation intelligence platform that produces structural and in-depth analysis and intelligence with a focus on emerging markets across Asia and Africa. Our mission is to open, inform and connect across the siloes that shape and move the aviation industry.
Aeraltus brings an independent, analytical and data-driven lens to aviation developments across emerging markets. We look beyond individual announcements to understand the structural forces shaping the industry, from airline financials, fleet and network strategy to airport infrastructure, competition, financing, governance, regulation, geopolitics and broader economic constraints.
Our work connects these different parts of the aviation ecosystem, identifies the stakeholders involved, and examines the decisions shaping billions of dollars in capital, infrastructure and fleet investment. For our readers and clients, this means a clearer view of not just what is happening, but why it is happening, who is driving it, and what it could mean next.

I came to aviation as an outsider. My training is in data science and research, and I was drawn to the industry through the aircraft, the airports, the routes and the scale of the decisions behind them.
What I couldn’t find was the layer underneath. Coverage of emerging aviation markets mostly reports what was announced, or applies conventional templates to places where they don’t fit. When I looked at the capital and legal barriers holding GIFT City back as a leasing hub, how India’s UDAN data sits against its regional jet ambitions, what drives SriLankan Airlines’ finances and routes, or why Vietnam’s property developers are building airlines, I found headlines and very little structural explanation.
So I started doing that work myself. My training gave me one habit: start with the decision a reader has to make, then bring only the data that bears on it. Every piece makes an argument that can be tested, and says what would prove it wrong.
It stopped feeling like a side project when practitioners started engaging with it. People working in OEMs, leasing and airline management have read the work. Some have told us it holds up, and one industry veteran took the time to correct it in detail, which made it better. It has also led to enquiries for custom analysis built around the decisions people are actually making.
Aeraltus is for the people who decide on fleets, capital, concessions and networks across Asia and Africa. It is independent, and it challenges conventional narratives with data and facts, with the aim of supporting those decisions.
What we do differently is connect the financial, network, fleet, ownership and regulatory factors behind a market into a single line of reasoning, so a decision can rest on the whole picture and not one part of it.
